Teshub

Back to shelf
Living Hurrian grimoire portrait of Teshub in a horned pointed cap and short patterned mantle, with mountain forms behind him and no borrowed Tarhunt or Mesopotamian storm-god emblems.

Teshub is the Hurrian storm god and king of Kummiya attested in Hurrian-Hittite myth and named at Yazilikaya. This record deliberately excludes Tarhunt and the Storm-god of Hatti from aliases: their later syncretism is a relationship, not identity erasure.
