Eshmun

Back to shelf
Living conservative Sidonian grimoire portrait of Eshmun in a plain woven robe and mantle, without imported Greek healing symbols.

Eshmun is the securely attested Sidonian god named in royal sanctuary dedications and Phoenician inscriptions. Healing and other functions are source-qualified, while uncertain Amrit images and later Asclepius identifications do not supply a safe universal portrait.
