Sabazios

Back to shelf
Living bearded Sabazios in a soft Phrygian cap and sleeved mantle before one small bronze cult-hand votive in the Mystic Apothecary grimoire style.

Sabazios is a securely attested Anatolian and Greco-Roman god whose Roman Imperial cult is strongly represented by bronze votive hands and source-specific syncretic symbol programs. His exact Old Phrygian linguistic derivation remains uncertain.
