Sulis

Back to shelf
Living Romano-British grimoire portrait of Sulis with dark waved hair and faint mineral steam from the sacred spring at Bath.

Sulis is a securely attested Romano-British goddess of the sacred spring at Bath, named alone in dedications and also worshipped there in the joined form Sulis Minerva; the surviving gilt-bronze cult head controls a cautious living reconstruction without merging Sulis into Roman Minerva.
